Our pizza brands
We currently have three pizza brands under the TEPC roof: Kotipizza (est. 1987) in Finland, New York Pizza (est. 1993) in the Netherlands and Germany, and Da Grasso (est. 1996) in Poland.
New York Pizza is all about good taste – not only in their delicious pizzas, pastas and side dishes, but also in their customer service and employees’ everyday actions in the restaurants. Founded in 1993, the chain has more than 270 restaurants in the Netherlands and Germany.
The first New York Pizza opened its doors in 1993 in the Dutch city of Amsterdam. The brothers Max and Philippe Vorst and Richard Abram were inspired by the American-styled thick and tasty pizza slices, and brought this to Europe. Consumers share this love – by 2009, 100 restaurants were up and running. Today, independent franchisees operate almost thrice as many locations.
In their varied selection of pizzas, pastas and fingerfood, New York Pizza values high-quality, natural and organic ingredients and also offers various plant-based and healthy options. The dough for pizza products is baked locally in their own factory. From delivery to product development, they have paid special attention to environmental responsibility. In everything they do, New York Pizza follows the ‘CHEFF’ principle – Clean, Hot, Enjoy, Fast and Friendly.
Through the years, New York Pizza has been awarded, for example, for the best pizza and best pizza delivery service in the Netherlands as well as Franchise Chain of the Year. The chain also holds the NFV certificate for operating a highly professional franchising business.
The Finnish Kotipizza is the largest pizza chain in the Nordics. Founded in 1987, the chain has more than 300 restaurants and over 280 franchisees, with all restaurants run by independent franchisees. The brand is known for sustainability, innovativeness, high quality, and domestic ingredients.
Kotipizza’s roots lie deep in western Finland’s Ostrobothnia region. The first Kotipizza restaurant was founded in 1987 in Vaasa. From this still-operating restaurant, Kotipizza has grown into a community of more than 300 restaurants, making it the largest pizza restaurant chain in the Nordic countries. While Kotipizza has made excursions abroad in the past, these days its restaurants – which are recognised by 99% of Finns – are only available in Finland.
Investing in customer service and their own product is important for Kotipizza. Kotipizza’s pizzas are made in Finland by hand and with love, and enjoyed with passion. Their secret is in their high-quality ingredients. In addition to the menu classics, Kotipizza is always developing new and different flavours for Finnish pizza lovers. An increasing number of customers opt to order their pizzas from the Kotipizza online store, and the chain’s digital customer loyalty programme Kotijoukot already boasts almost 600,000 members. Kotipizza delivers pizzas conveniently by car or environmentally friendly electric scooters.
Kotipizza is also with the good ones. Kotipizza is committed to looking after their people, to achieving net-zero food products and to demanding that their partners operate sustainably as well. This mission means deeds, not words. Kotipizza is, for example, the first pizza restaurant chain in the world to achieve MSC environmental certification. Over the years, Kotipizza has won numerous awards – for instance, in the European Franchise Awards 2023, the chain took home the gold in the Innovation & Sustainability category for successful innovations in digitalisation and sustainability
A good pizza parlour does not simply sell high-quality dishes. It also cares about customer relations. Headquartered in Łódź, Poland, Da Grasso has been putting their hearts into preparing tasty dishes since 1996.
The first Da Grasso pizzeria appeared on the map of Łódź in 1996. 25 years later, Da Grasso is a chain of almost 200 premises in 140 Polish cities. Their mission: “to serve the best food and deliver it wherever our friends need it.” In addition to pizza, tasty burgers, filling pasta, healthy salads or meat dishes are also served.
Da Grasso’s customers value delicious pizza, family atmosphere and great service. They are a laureate of many prestigious awards and distinctions, such as Consumer’s Golden Laurel, the Consumer Grand Prix, the Service Quality and Quality of the Year emblem, and Hermes in the restaurant chain category.
“We believe that food is not just about filling your stomach; food has the power to bring people together. Our world – it’s a world where we eat better together. And our role in this world is to feed human relationships. We see ourselves wherever people want to eat together, when they want to emphasize the relationships they have, to feel good together.”
