New team members at The European Pizza Company
Three new team members have recently joined The European Pizza Company (TEPC). Strategy and Performance Director Jaap Wildeboer, Group Finance Controller Alessio Riggi and Global ESG Manager Valentin Lohff will help the company develop its leading collection of sustainable local pizza brands in Europe.
Jaap Wildeboer, a Dutch national, began his career in private equity before joining one of TEPC’s local brands, New York Pizza. There, Jaap was involved in the sale of the company to TEPC and contributed to subsequent M&A activities in Germany. Additionally, he led the development and innovation of business intelligence tools and revenue growth management strategies. In August 2024, Jaap transitioned to the TEPC team as Strategy and Performance Director. In this role, he works closely with subsidiary companies to track and drive synergies, focusing on joint procurement and the creation of a unified technology platform, while also supporting TEPC’s international growth through targeted M&A and brand expansion.
Alessio Riggi, an Italian national, has 5 years of experience in various areas of finance. He started his career in treasury and accounting, then moved to IT controlling and transfer pricing system implementation. Since then, he has focused on financial planning and corporate controlling. Most recently, Alessio served as Group Finance Controller at Fareva, an international pharmaceutical, beauty and cosmetics company headquartered in Luxembourg. Having joined TEPC in the beginning of September 2024 as Group Finance Controller, Alessio will help to drive TEPC’s ambitious value creation journey together with subsidiary companies by creating a better business understanding and measuring of business performance.
Valentin Lohff, a German national, brings the TEPC team 4 years of dedicated sustainability and food safety experience in the brewing and agri-food sectors. In previous work, Valentin has specialised in conducting sustainability assessments through product life cycle assessments, delivering greenhouse gas reduction initiatives in the supply chain and conducting food safety audits. In his role of Global ESG Manager, Valentin helps to strengthen TEPC’s sustainability agenda and capabilities to create positive impacts for the company, its brands and stakeholders. He develops and coordinates improvement activities in areas such as net zero, human rights and ESG reporting across the company’s network. Valentin started early July 2024.
